Amit Grover, an IIT-IIM graduate, has launched Nurture Talent Academy, India’s 1st Training Institute for Entrepreneurs, providing 360 degree training and mentoring on legal, IPR, capital raising and marketing planning, in Mumbai. The startup has announced its 1 month NTP – Nurture Talent Program, a structured training program for budding entrepreneurs. The objective of the program is to provide relevant skills to entrepreneurs in the areas of finance, legal, sales and marketing, human resources and information technology. The program will also help entrepreneurs prepare their business plans and pitch to investors.
As per Amit, “The vision is to foster entrepreneurship and help startups during the most critical phase of their company lifecycle. We aim to generate over 20000 jobs in 3-5 years through these startups, assuming each of them create 20 jobs on an average.”
The experts who will conduct the program include an impressive set of angel investors, successful entrepreneurs and experienced professionals. They come from all walks of entrepreneurship and have “been there, done that”. The list of experts includes renowned entrepreneurs and investors including Sasha Mirchandani, Managing Director, Blue Run Ventures, and also promoter of Onida as well as Prashant Choksey, Founder of Choksey Constructions, among other experts. This select set of experts promises to give a highly enervating experience to all budding entrepreneurs.
The Founder of Nurture Talent Academy, Amit, is himself a very experienced person. He is a Mechanical Engineer from IIT Delhi, batch of 2001. He worked with Infosys Technologies for 2 years as software engineer, before going on to do his MBA from IIM Indore. After passing out in 2005 from IIM Indore, he joined Asian Paints in their sales and marketing function and handled variety of roles. Subsequently, he joined Onida in the Chairman’s office where he was responsible for strategy and decision making system.
Amit is also associated with the Mumbai Angels, India’s leading group of angel investors, and handled over 20 early stage deals in startups. “The experience of working with entrepreneurs, day in day out, was contagious. They have so much of talent and energy, only need is to channelize that into focus towards business.” says Amit on what inspired him to start the guidance program for entrepreneur.
The company aims to reach out to entrepreneurs in other cities in the future.
