Grantham University, specializing in educating working adults, announced today that it has added four new Criminal Justice Certificates of Learning to its curriculum. Students can choose from the following certificates: Emergency Operations Management, Computer Forensic Investigations, Juvenile Justice and Criminal Investigation.
“The Criminal Justice Certificates of Learning offer students the opportunity to increase their skills and knowledge within the criminal justice field; which, in turn, enhances their marketable job skills and improves their opportunity for promotion,” said Tina Freestone, Grantham University’s Program Chair of Criminal Justice. “These certificates not only offer more variety to our students; they also fulfill a need for qualified professionals in the law enforcement industry.”
Employment opportunities in the law enforcement field continue to grow steadily, particularly in the areas of Corrections and Juvenile Justice because there are currently more adults and juveniles under correctional supervision than at any time in U. S. history. These certificates prepare students for a variety of entry-level positions including: Correctional Officer, Police Officer, Juvenile Detention Officer, Computer Forensic Investigator or Emergency Management Specialist. Additionally, graduates with a Criminal Justice Certificate of Learning may apply credit earned toward an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice at Grantham.
