This examination is held every year for recruitment to the following posts.
(i) Sub-Inspectors/Platoon Commanders in B.S.F.
(ii) Sub-Inspectors in Indo-Tibetan Border police.
(iii) Sub-Inspectors in Central Reserve Police Force.
(iv) Sub-Inspectors in Central Industrial Security Force.
The exam is held generally in the month of May.
Age: 20 – 25 years.
Educational qualification: Degree of a recognised university or equivalent.
Plan of Examination: The examination comprises in two parts.
(i) Written test carrying 500 marks.
(ii) Interview or personality Test.
Examination Subject:
Paper I – General Test
(a) General Intelligence and Reasoning 400 Marks Duration 2 Hours
(b) General Awareness
(c) Numerical Ability
Paper II – English Language
(a) Language comprehension 100 Marks Duration 1 Hours
(b) Communication writing skill
The interview will carry 100 marks for all the posts
