Secretarial jobs have a distinct plan in the administrative set up of an organisation. They require specific professional skills and personal characteristics. For example, a steno, typist takes down dictation, mostly in shorthand, and transcribes that dictation on a computer or typewriter. Stenographer’s personal assistants, personal secretaries, executive secretaries, do much the same, but with added responsibilities, in keeping with their posts and grades.
STENOGRAPHER
Graduate or pass (10+2) between 20-28 years of age. Knowledge of typewriting, Shorthand and computer, telex/fax operations essential (Salary 4000-7500 Rs.)
PERSONAL ASSISTANT
Graduate with a secretarial course from a reputed Institute possessing good typing and computing skills. (Salary 4000-8000 Rs.)
OFFICE ASSISTANT
Graduate or matriculation equivalent with good office manners. (Salary 3000-4500 Rs.)
EXECUTIVE SECRETARY
Computer literacy and good short hand speed is essential. Should be a graduate (Salary: 4000-9000 Rs.)
