This examination is held every year generally in the month of December by the Reserve Bank of India Services Board, Hongkong Bank Building, 6th Floor, Mahatma Gandhi Road, Hutatma Chouk, Post Box No.10009, Mumbai – 400001.

The reserve Bank of India Services Selection Board holds the examination in tow phases.
First Phase – Paper I (Objective Type) of three hours duration in held in the month of December.
Second Phase – (Descriptive Type) is conducted generally in the month of May.

Education Qualification:

(i) A first Class Bachelor’s Degree form a recognised University with a minimum 60% marks of equivalent grade.
(ii) A Second Class Master’s Degree from a recognised University with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade.
(iii) A Doctorate Degree with 50% marks in Master’s Degree or equivalent grade.
(iv) A Chartered/Cost Accountant with a Bachelor’s Degree.
(v) A Post-Graduate diploma in Management from IIM-Ahmedabad, Bangalore or Calcutta, with a Bachelor’s Degree.

Age: (i) 21 to 28 years (ii) 21 to 28 years

Plan of examination: The subject of the written Examination (WE), time allowed and maximum marks will be as under:
Grade “A” Officers
PHASE – I :-Objective Type Test consisting of
(i) General Awareness 200 Duration
(ii) English Language marks 2 hours.
(iii) Quantitative Aptitude
(iv) Reasoning

PHASE – II
English (Essay, Precis Writing/ 100 Duration
Comprehension, Business/ marks 2½ hours.
Office Correspondence)

Economic and Social Problems 100 marks
Duration2½ hours.

Grade “B” Officers
PHASE – I (Objective Type Test consisting of
(i) General Awareness 200 Duration
(ii) English Language marks 3 hours.
(iii) Quantitative Aptitude
(iv) Reasoning

PHASE – II
English (Essay,Precis Writing/ Comprehension, Business/Office Correspondence) 100 marks

Duration 3 hours.

Economic and Social Problems 100 marks

Duration3 hours.
